The Poolguard Door Alarm is equipped with a feature that sounds the alarm immediately when a child opens the door, and it will continue to sound if the door is left open. If the child goes through the door and closes it, the alarm will sound for 5 minutes before automatically resetting. This model, DAPT-WT, includes an outdoor wireless transmitter that allows adults to enter the home without triggering the alarm, and it is easy to install.
The Poolguard Door Alarm is always on and will reset under all conditions. It also includes an adult pass-through feature which allows adults to pass through the door without activating the alarm. Optional screen door kits are available for purchase, enabling air flow through a screen door without setting off the alarm.
This door alarm operates using one 9-volt battery (not included) with a battery life of approximately 6 months. A low battery indicator is included to audibly alert you when the battery is running low. The Poolguard Door Alarm is UL Listed UL 2017 for Water Hazard Entrance Door Alarms and is proudly made in the USA. It is battery-powered and complies with barrier codes.
